Elcona Country Club in Bristol, Indiana, is a beautiful wedding venue all year long. It especially shines with the well-manicured grounds are filled with stunning fall color. Lydia and Mitch's early November wedding featured some of the most dazzling fall colors we had this year.
This couple wanted to make sure those golden hues were carried through to the reception and chose our Splash uplighting package. Uplights are the easiest way to deliver a "wow factor" in any venue, and there certainly was a "wow" factor here! Because this group had a large bridal party and long head table, we focused most of the golden-yellow uplighting directly behind the head table and then added a dash to highlight the large curtains on the windows overlooking the golf course.
With the head table flanking the dance floor on one side and our setup flanking the other side, the ability to change colors of the uplighting later in the evening to the beat of the music added extra energy and “pop” to the dancing. Lydia and Mitch had a lot of "wow" factors for their reception decor: stunning floral arrangements from Camille's, silky cream chair covers and an incredibly nice donation to the American Heart Association versus a party favor.
This couple also had a large guest list of 230 people, and they were ready to party! After a friendly cocktail hour and high-energy grand entrance with the large bridal party, guests enjoyed a delicious plated dinner from the Elcona executive chef, and amazing speeches from Lydia’s father, Terry, and the Best Man and Maid of Honor. Having our remote speaker option was also a perfect enhancement for this space and let guests in all parts of the ballroom hear all the unique moments with crystal-clear sound.
Special dances followed including a touching video slideshow provided by the families to accompany the parent dance songs, which were custom-edited by us to match the slideshow length. Married couples also participated in an Anniversary Dance with the “winning” couple clocking in at 71 years of marriage!
The rest of the night was in the hands of DJ Sticky Boots with an open playlist from the newlyweds, allowing Sticky to work the crowd at will. The dance floor was packed till the end, with a huge circle of friends and family surrounding Lydia and Mitch for the last dance of the evening. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day!
