BREAD & CHOCOLATE HOSTS CARA & PETE’S JANUARY WEDDING | DJ, UPLIGHTING

New jobs individually brought Cara and Pete to the Goshen-area, a meet-up group connected them, and then Bread & Chocolate in the Old Bag Factory in Goshen brought their respective families together from the Noblesville Indiana and Trenton NJ areas for this memorable January wedding celebration that kicked off Sticky Boots’ 2020 wedding tour.  The two sides of the families may not have known it other very well, but man were they ready to dance!   More on that later.

Cara and Pete planned for both their ceremony and reception at Bread and Chocolate, and our Platinum package with Splash uplights was an ideal choice for them and their 150 guests.  The couple rented the entire whole floor, both the Gallery and the Ballroom Suite. This is the most popular choice at Bread & Chocolate and a perfect way to make the flow from the ceremony to the reception natural and effortless.

After a beautiful ceremony, guests moved down the hall to the Bridal Suite for cocktails, dinner, and dancing.  We provided a remote speaker near the bar for cocktail music as well, which was a welcomed addition to the mingling until dinner time, especially since the ballroom itself was kept closed during cocktail hour.

Before a delicious plated meal, served by Bread & Chocolate, there were excellent speeches from Cara's father, Joseph, Pete's best man Tom, and Cara's sister Callie.  Callie also gifted the happy couple with a stunningly beautiful hand-maid quilt, made even more special by the fact that Callie had never even made a quilt before!  A couple additional unique features were a classic first dance immediately following the grand entrance and a bouquet toss for both single ladies and guys at the same time.

Grant and Jen from Grant Beachy Photography captured all of the moments from the day, and Sticky Boots handled the music and emcee duties as guests packed the dance floor till the end with great spirits and tons of energy.  In fact, the guests having so much fun, nearly everyone was still in the room when the party ended, chanting “one more song, one more song!”  This wedding definitely set the bar high for the rest of our events this year, and we can’t wait to jump in with the rest of our 2020 couples!
