CELEBRATING BAL NOEL IN AT SHADOWLAND IN ST. JOE MICHIGAN

Shadowland Ballroom on Silver Beach on the shore of Lake Michigan is a venue like no other, so we’re always excited when we get to be part of a special event there, whether that be a wedding, prom, or corporate function.   Generally though, we tend to be in St. Joseph Michigan during the warmer months of the year, so when we got the call to be a part of the long-running Bal Noel holiday tradition in St. Joe, we got excited!

Bal Noel has taken place in St. Joe since 1955.  Its members consist of 25 St. Joe families who have one or more children in the 8th grade to college age range.  These families come together each year to plan this formal event at Christmas time to celebrate their children and spend time together for dinner and dancing.

The night begins with cocktails, appetizers, and carousel rides on the vintage Silver Beach Carousel, which we might add is decorated beautifully for the holiday season.  Freeze Frame Photo Booth provided fun candid snapshots as well, before the Shadowland serves up a delicious plated meal.

Later after dinner, there are formal Father-Daugther and Mother-Son dances for the members and then kids are allowed to invite friends from outside the group into the ballroom to dance the rest of the evening to the sounds of DJ Sticky Boots.   It was awesome to be a part of this annual tradition on the Lake, and we look forward to doing it all over again next year!
