DANIELLE & BLAKE’S STUNNING GOLF COURSE WEDDING IN SOUTH BEND | DJ, CEREMONY

In the early 1980s, Indiana Beach came up with an advertising slogan still recognizable across the state: “There’s more than corn in Indiana!” … and there certainly is! One of those things is the stunning golf courses throughout Indiana and the greater-Goshen area is no exception.

The Blue Heron at Blackthorn is one of those gems located in South Bend, Indiana. This venue is perfect because it’s just minutes from downtown South Bend and the South Bend International Airport which is perfect for your guests who are flying in for your big day! But one of the most perfect features is the colonial cape cod building itself that has an airy country club ambiance with vistas overlooking some of the prettiest golf holes in northern Indiana.

And that’s just the vibe that Danielle and Blake wanted for their wedding day.

This couple currently lives near San Francisco, California, but both are originally from the Midwest. We get it, California is beautiful but those Midwestern roots combined with the importance of family and Pinterest-worthy views are the true MVP of wedding venue selection.

The great thing about technology is we were able to work with Danielle and Blake through Skype. In fact, this is how we work with most of our out-of-town clients because it allows us to seamlessly communicate face-to-face and feel like we really get to know them prior to the wedding day.

Danielle and Blake selected the Gold wedding entertainment package with DJ Iceberg and added a remote speaker for their cocktail hour.

It was a beautiful early-June day to have a wedding and Kayla Holdread of Weeping Willow Photography, a South Bend based photographer, captured the event beautifully.

While the couple was whisked away to get some photos with their bridal party, guests enjoyed cocktails on the patio. The wireless speaker enhancement Danielle and Blake chose created the perfect vibe outside and set the tone for a great evening.

The party kicked-off with a grand entrance followed immediately with Danielle and Blake’s first dance and cake cutting. This group was ready to fuel up with a delicious meal served by The Blue Heron catering then dance the night away!

Tom Petty may have perfectly, yet very unintentionally, described summer weddings in Indiana with just a few short words in his song ‘Last Dance Of Mary Jane’: Oh, my, my. Oh, hell, yes. You got to put on that party dress.
