In addition to all the proms we help produce each spring, we love a good semi-formal or homecoming dance! This particular Indiana high school has been a client for over a decade; and with one of the dance sponsors also being the art teacher, you know they will always have an awesome theme for each event.
This year was no different with “Space Jam” being the move, and students were encouraged to dress up in white and fluorescent colors that would react to UV light. We did our part, and Sticky Boots brought out a ton of blacklight bars and UV uplighting to bathe the room in purple. We also provided our popular “Starry Night” star-field effect on the ceiling to simulate outer space. This effect works best in dark rooms and flat, white surfaces, and luckily the school’s cafeteria had both!
Check out the video below, and you’ll see how crazy it got! Three dinosaurs even showed up to dominate the dance floor. We’re not sure what dinosaurs have to do with space, but who cares? They were awesome!
