Laura’s formal Indiana bat-mitzvah was a vision in pink for the nearly 200 guests in attendance at the Hilton Doubletree ballroom in South Bend. In addition to DJ Sticky Boots Silver entertainment package her parents chose to add plenty of ambiance to the ballroom with our Splash uplighting package in bubblegum pink to match Laura’s napkins and table décor. Sherri and her staff made the room look perfect, and the uplighting really set it off!
Adult guests dined on the Doubletree’s scrumptious chicken and Salmon entrées while the kids in attendance enjoyed a full-stocked pasta buffet with an ice-cream bar to top it off. After dinner the Indiana bar/bat-mitzvah master of ceremonies, Sticky Boots, emceed a traditional Candle-lighting ceremony with Laura lighting 13 candles while reading verses she wrote to honor 13 special groups of people in her life.
With the candle-lighting ceremony completed, Laura’s dad encouraged guests to let loose and her South Bend Mitzvah DJ unleashed both barrels packing the dance floor with a mix of contemporary radio hits, interactive line dances, and 80’s & 90’s party classics. We’ve never seen adults have such a blast on the dance floor next to 12-15 year olds, and truly a great time was had by all.
Of course you can’t forget about dancing the Hora to Hava Nagila, and Mishawaka mitzvah DJ, Sticky Boots didn’t disappoint with a modern version of the traditional Jewish dance that brought tremendous energy to the dance floor. Family members held Laura high up on a chair in the center as everyone danced in circles to honor her. The dancing continued for a full three hours and many didn’t want the night to end. What an amazing evening!
