Angela and Reece wanted a rustic, full-featured location for their early spring reception, and chose the secluded Back 40 between Nappanee and Bourbon as the perfect spot. We’re at the Back 40 frequently, and the heavily wooded setting and modern facility is really beautiful any time of year.
The couple also did not want to compromise when it came to extras on the day and chose ceremony coverage along with our top of the line DJ Sticky Boots Platinum wedding package and ambient room uplighting to complement the elegant decorations and the “log cabin” feel of the venue. It was a perfect choice that fill the room with sound and the cool glow of their teal and purple wedding colors.
The ceremony itself was conducted on the second level of the hall which is set up perfectly for a wedding complete with seating and lots of windows for natural light. The ceremony location also overlooks the lower level creating a very warm and open feeling. Approximately 100 guests witnessed the beautiful ceremony conducted by Angele’s Grandfather, Robert and our sound system and wireless mic made sure everyone heard the action, while Sticky Boots helped coordinate the timing of the wedding party’s processional and recessional.
The reception began downstairs immediately following the ceremony and guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers with a delicious buffet following provided by The Back 40 Catering, all to the sounds of very contemporary dinner music featuring today’s best artists. After dinner with the house lights dimmed to a warm glow, Angela and Reece danced their first and continued the night with fun group participation dances and 90’s throwbacks courtesy of an eclectic mix on the turntables from Sticky Boots. Such much fun!
