Elcona Country Club in Bristol, Indiana, is a beautiful wedding venue all year long. It especially shines with the well-manicured grounds are filled with stunning fall color. Lydia and Mitch's early November wedding featured some of the most dazzling fall colors we had this year.

It has all of those make-our-Midwestern-hearts-swell amenities, it's an 1850’s restored barn that is heated and features inside restrooms ... oh, and it's handicap accessible! Such a big WIN for these fall days where the sun in shining but isn't providing a lot of warmth!
Elcona Country Club is at the foot of the Bristol Hills and has a beautiful club house ballroom that overlooks the 18th green and 10th tee. The weather on this Saturday was exactly what you’d hope for with a wedding in early October - sunny skies, slight breeze and a temperature that wasn't too hot nor too cold.. And DANG, did this couple get the perfect combination of both!
Megan and Tony chose the Platinum entertainment package for their wedding reception based on both a recommendation from friends, and having grown up listening to Sticky Boots on the radio. Couples like that normally have a good idea of what the Sticky Boots experience is like and know how to have a good time, and as soon as we met Megan and Tony, we knew for certain this was going to be a super-fun wedding!
Just off the shores of Lake Wawasee on 27 acres of forested land in Syracuse, Oakwood Resort provides a stunning backdrop for almost any type of event. The only type of event it's not good for is one that doesn't want beautiful lake views, well-manicured grounds or a helpful staff to make sure the event goes off without a hitch. Those events may be out there, but we have yet to find one - ha!
We met Carrie and Nick via Facetime for their initial consultation. We knew that they were going to be a great couple to work with for a lot of reasons. Barn venues in Northern Indiana are kind of “par for the course” as they say, but the guest experience and the look from barn to barn varies widely…some properties are absolutely stunning, Instagram-perfect visions straight out of Pintrest with top-notch staff. Other are…well…not. Without question though, our favorite barn venue in St. Joseph county Indiana is St. Joe Farm, and it’s a stunner.

Jenni and Brian were married in the stables on St. Joe Farm on a late-September Saturday. The weather was a balmy 80-degrees, not something that you expect on a Saturday in September in Northern Indiana. Guests were able to cool off a bit with a cocktail hour inside the Event Barn while Jenni and Brian were getting after-ceremony photos taken by their photographer, Jessica Burns of JB Photography.
The reception officially kicked off with a unique timeline. After DJ Iceberg hosted the Grand Entrance, introducing the individual members of the bridal parties, Jenni danced with her dad, Bryan. As the dance finished, Bryan passed Jenni’s hand to another Brian, her new husband, for their first dance as husband and wife. The handoff from Father to Groom was something important to Jenni and her family, and it’s unique touches like these that we love to see!
When you live in the Midwest, we tend to take our big red barns, farming fields and winding roads for granted and guess what ... Elkhart County, Indiana is filled with these scenic vistas! People from all over the country visit this area for our rich Amish culture (and those delicious Amish meals).

Big red barns are kind of a staple for Indiana landscapes and Meadow Brook Barn is no exception. This farmstead in Goshen, Indiana, is well known for hosting community fairs in the early 1900’s, making its mark in Indiana’s listing of historical places.
The best part of this beautiful venue is it's filled with unique rustic spaces, magnificent views, and whimsical flowers ... which is exactly what Amanda and Adam wanted for their wedding ceremony and reception.
This Bristol-based couple also wanted a fun, lighthearted evening where people felt comfortable dancing the night away but were a bit concerned that their guests wouldn't leave the comfort of their chairs (because lets face it, summer heat combined with air conditioning and a soft chair can be a tiny slice of heaven).
